M Resort to Host Qualifying Events For Inaugural Hollywood Poker Open- $70,000 Guaranteed at Three Events, January 25-27

The Hollywood Poker Open (HPO), a new poker tournament launched by Penn National Gaming with qualifying events at five of its casinos throughout the United States, is coming to Las Vegas and the M Resort Spa Casino on January 25-27, 2013. Playing in the Las Vegas event is one of the many ways poker players can earn a seat in the $500,000 Guaranteed HPO Championship in June, which also include playing in other regional qualifying events or satellites around the country or paying the $2,500 buy-in.

The first of five qualifying events for the Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) has concluded, and eight event winners and five mega satellite winners are advancing to the $500,000 guaranteed HPO Championship at the M Resort in Las Vegas on June 28-30. The winners topped competitors at the Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg qualifying tournament held Nov. 8-18. Each received a $2,500 seat at the championship and $1,500 in travel expenses.

October 25th, 2012 - Penn National Debuts Inaugural Hollywood Poker Open

Penn National Gaming is launching the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) next month at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg (Indiana) followed by qualifying tournaments at four Penn National properties culminating with the $500,000 championship event at the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas on June 28-30. Poker players can enter the championship event with a $2,500 buy-in or by qualifying through a regional event or local promotion such as a satellite or drawing.
